About us

  • Peter
  • Helen

We are Helen Carver and Peter Hardcastle and we moved to Sedella, Andalucia in the Sierra Tejada National Park region of Spain in July 2007.

Helen is an equine enthusiast who has worked in the horse world for over 40 years. During that time she trained to BHSAI standard. She has owned her own riding school and livery yard whilst living in England. However, latterly her passion has been to follow the natural horsemanship approach. She is employing these techniques here in Spain with her two rescue ponies, Blossom the Welsh pony and Gabriel, a 3 year old Andalusian cross.

Peter is a technologist, who has to work to the maximum extent permitted by the law in order to pay the mortgage.

We both love our home, the region and the Spanish people and since living here we have totally embraced the Andalusian way of life here in the mountains.

For visitors who choose to stay with us we will endeavour to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We are happy to show you as little or as much as you want of the region and the way of life. Alternatively, if you want peace and quiet, to spend time on your own in this ideal part of the world you will find the location perfect for this too.
